My Very Own Sears Vallonia!

Our little group of Sears Home enthusiasts on Facebook has almost 9,000 members. Considering that we started with 12, that’s a pretty impressive number.

One of the newer members contacted me and asked for my mailing address. Given that I am currently hiding out like a hermit in the woods of Southwestern Illinois, I was a little hesitant to share my address, but when I learned WHY he wanted this information, I was absolutely thrilled!

Christopher Petersen has begun building these small and meticulously detailed Sears Homes to scale, and sent me one of his first houses – The Vallonia.

It sure looked pretty in the pictures on Facebook, but when I saw it “in person,” I was even more captivated. It’s just about flawless. If you’d like one of your own, you can contact Christopher at scalemodelhomes@gmail.com or visit his website, www.scalemodelhomes.com.

Prices start at $59.95, but I wouldn’t surrender my “little Vallonia” for any sum!

Here’s a picture of my very own Sears Vallonia, temporarily sitting in the backyard of a slightly bigger house in Jersey County, IL.

It’s as “pretty as a picture” and so cute! Chris could always find work as a “hand model” if he grows weary of building these diminutive architectural beauties! (Photo credit is Christopher Petersen 2020 and may not be used without permission.)
