Sears Homes!

My talk on Saturday, February 1, 2020 was a hit!

Truthfully, I’d say that (even though I was nervous) it was one of the best days of my life. After having lived through (and barely survived) my husband’s suicide and it’s nuclear-blast after-effects, it felt SO SATISFYING to be able to share the story of my healing and resurrection from the dead (literally and figuratively); in short, to be able to share the good news of how I’d been saved by Grace.

Several people approached me afterwards and said that it was “one of the most inspiring talks” they’d ever heard, and that my experience had touched their hearts and minds and souls.

And that was an answer to my prayers. I had asked God to get ROSEMARY out of the way and let the light of divinity and beauty and love shine through.

  1. Laura

It’s Laura, in Southern California, and you sent me some of your books on kit homes.

    Girl, have a missed you.

I have been in a dark tunnel for 4 years myself, as my husband’s ocular vicissitudes consumed our lives, I read everyone of your books in numerous waiting rooms. Well, thanks to my due diligence, and major sacrifices, his ocular acuity is back.

Your books were a positive distraction, and filled my mind with curiosity, not worry.

There is a difference of being alive, and feeling alive, and I am thrilled you are back to feeling alive. If any deserves happiness, it is you my dear. You’re the best.

I’ve posted a Sears, Roebuck & Co. – Book of Modern Homes and Building Plans vintage catalog in my etsy store. It appears to be the 1908 catalog but it has 52 pgs. and less than 44 house plans. Is it a later edition? (the top left of pg 1 has 3rd edition in small print)

  3. Cinda Lester

Rosemary – would love for you to contact me about perhaps a purchase deal for all the books you have available. Thanks!

  4. Kara Poole

I live in a house that Sears built.

ORIGINALLY, it was 2br 1bth and I’d love to have a copy of the blueprints to remodel more.

The deed says it was built in 1949 but not quite sure as it is now a four bedroom, two bath home.

I want to remodel the kitchen and need to know where the load-bearing walls are, and where the wiring passes through.

I am a bit “blonde” when it comes to construction but, can you help? Or point me in the right direction? Sears built this home to hold heat very well and I was impressed this winter at just how well. I have held ownership since October 2018.
