Sears Home in Shenandoah, Virginia

In Spring 2010, my husband and I were traveling and visited Shenandoah, Virginia. It’s a beautiful little town with a large railroad presence so naturally, I went hunting for Sears Homes. Found a handful of unremarkable Sears Homes but then I found this Sears Maytown.

This is not an unusual Sears Home but this was one the prettiest examples of a Sears Maytown that I ever saw. And it was set in one of the prettiest towns that I ever visited. It’s a real beauty.

Before visiting this town, I had no idea there was a place called “Shenandoah, Virginia.” Not surprisingly, it’s in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains and their website says they’re “the most picturesque town in America.” And they have the prettiest Sears Maytown in America!

Thank you for visiting Shenandoah, Virginia and finding out we have Sears Homes here! We are now on a quest to locate the other Sears Homes in our area and will file this information with photos in our museum at Town Hall. Thanks again!
